D-Clearance stands for departmental clearance. Classes with a "D" in the section number, i.e., 40659D, have D-Clearance restrictions and students must request and receive clearance before registration. Section numbers with "R" are not restricted and are open for direct registration by graduate students.
This Form only allows for up to three (3) D-Clearance requests for courses with the PATH or INTD prefix listed below per form. For Spring 2025, Pathology will give D-Clearance to non-Pathology graduate students for the following classes: INTD 551 Pathobiology of Disease (Section #40659D), PATH 554 Emerging Trends and Methods in Molecular Pathology (Section #40851D), and INTD 570 Current Topics in Cellular Homeostasis (Section #40684D).
For courses outside the Molecular Pathology and Experimental Medicine Program, please contact the appropriate department. D-Clearance information can be found by searching for the department on the Schedule of Classes: https://classes.usc.edu
D-Clearance requests are only accepted through this online form and will not be accepted through email. Please allow 5-7 business days for processing.
For questions, please contact Michele King, Academic Program Specialist via email: Michele.King@med.usc.edu
D-Clearance will be granted on an on-going basis until the drop/add date.
