2017 API Equality-LA Community Organizing Internship
API Equality-LA’s Community Organizing Internship will train Asian and Pacific Islander (API) young people to do community organizing and political power-building work with(in) the API community for LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer) equality. As an organization, API Equality-LA recognizes that our community is under attack in the current political climate, and that this moment in history is our opportunity to educate and mobilize LGBTQ and API people to advance just and equitable immigration policies. Focusing on cultural and policy change through on-the- ground and in-the-community work, this 10-week internship begins Monday, June 19, 2017 and ends Friday, August 25, 2017.

Applications require a resume, writing sample, and cover letter that explains your interest in community organizing in the API LGBT community. Please note that you CANNOT save your progress in this application, so please make sure to have materials prepared before starting the application process.

For any questions, please contact Tanya Edmilao at tanya@apiequalityla.org.

DEADLINE IS 5 PM ON MONDAY, MAY 15, 2017.
