Port Sheldon Township Burn Permits

PLEASE:
-Have water available at all times
-Burn only in calm weather
-Do not leave fire unattended
-Completely extinguish your fire by dark

YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BURN ANY OF THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:
-Household waste (Garbage, Trash, Plastic, etc.)
-Construction Material (Treated Lumber, Carpet, Plastic, Roofing Materials, etc.)
-Commercial or Industrial Waste
-Tires or any type of rubber material
-Gas, Diesel, Oil or any other types of liquids or chemicals
-Any type of structure or building for the purpose of demolition
-Any other material that would cause a public nuisance

You do not need a burn permit for fire's in a burn barrel or campfires in a fire pit.

NO BURN PERMITS WILL BE ISSUED DURING A DNR OR STATE BURN BAN

REMINDER: YOU DO NOT NEED A BURN PERMIT IF THERE IS AT LEAST 1" OF SNOW ON THE GROUND
