Six Word Story Contest
Legend has it that Ernest Hemingway placed a bet that he could write a story in just six words. If the legend is true, he won with “For Sale: Baby Shoes, Never Worn.” Now it is your turn! Submit your story for a chance to win. Our judges will read each story and announce the winners in August!

1st PRIZE: $50 - 2nd prize: $30 - 3rd prize: $20 - ADDITIONAL PRIZES!

RULES:
Contest is open to students in grades 6-12.
Stories must contain only six words and be your original work.
Content must be suitable for all audiences.
Stories will be featured on the library's website and social media platforms.
One entry per person.
Deadline is July 31st.
