School & Organization Self-Guided Tour Request
Thank you for your interest in Mote Aquarium and the Ann and Alfred E. Goldstein Marine Mammal Research and Rehabilitation Center. We hope to "sea" you soon!

Please be advised of the following policies in order to obtain a special group rate for your visit:
  • Your group MUST have at least 10 people of paying age (3 and up). Groups who have less than 10 may still book, however you will be billed for 10 youth/students.
  • Your visit is NOT confirmed until you receive a confirmation email that includes important visitor information and your invoice
  • Request must be made at least two weeks in advance of your visit. 
  • Want to visit within the next two weeks? Call Brad Tanner at 941-388-4441 ext. 351 if you are reading this and trying to visit within the next two weeks, there may be availability. All late bookings, those made within two weeks of visit, are subject to a $25.00 late booking processing fee which will be automatically added to your invoice.
  • Please read your confirmation email and review your invoice as both contain important information to plan your visit, including your payment due date and if a deposit is required for your trip.
  • Please review our Policies Page before booking your visit.

School/Organization Group Rate Pricing
$15.00 - Per Student/Youth 
$20.00 - Additional Chaperones
  • Mote requires one chaperone for every 5 preschool-aged visitors, and one chaperone for every 10 student visitors in grades K-12. As a courtesy, we do offer 1 free chaperone for every 5 preschoolers and 1 free chaperone for every 10 K-12 graders. Teachers, staff members, parents and other adults are considered chaperones and are counted in the total chaperone count. They must be included on your invoice. Individual payments are not accepted and chaperones cannot pay onsite for your program.

ADDITIONAL NOTES
  • Memberships, coupons, or other discounts may not be used in conjunction with our special group rate prices. Ticket price includes admission to The Aquarium and the Ann and Alfred E. Goldstein Marine Mammal Research and Rehabilitation Center. 
  • Tickets are non-refundable. 
  • Please contact educate@mote.org should you have any additional questions.

Mote requires 1 chaperone for every 5 Pre-K Students, and 1 chaperone for every 10 K-12 students. These are provided at no charge. Teachers and other school staff are considered chaperones, and included in this count. Additional chaperones are $20. Please let us know the total number of chaperones that will be attending your field trip day. Schools/organizations are responsible for collecting money from participants and chaperones to pay in one transaction. ALL CHAPERONES MUST BE INCLUDED ON YOUR INVOICE. What time will your group be arriving at Mote? *
The Aquarium opens at 9:30am and most field trips begin at 9:15am or later. You may plan an earlier arrival with approval from our School Programs Manager. We advise groups to plan an hour for their education program, then two hours to visit the Aquarium and Marine Mammal Center. Most groups include a half-hour for a picnic lunch into their visit.

Will you be having lunch during your visit? *
Lunches brought for your field trip must be left in coolers on the bus. Please plan to retrieve lunches just prior to your scheduled lunch time. There are a few picnic tables near the Aquarium parking lot, and many more at Ken Thompson Park (a 5-minute walk from the Aquarium). Sorry, but there is no seating for lunch inside the Aquarium.
