NCLC Listserv Sign-Up Form
Statement of Purpose

Most NCLC listservs are discussion forums open exclusively to attorneys and advocates working on behalf of consumers, including those who work for legal services and other nonprofit agencies and National Association of Consumer Advocates (NACA) members. Some listservs are open to others, including but not limited to, to government attorneys and consumer-oriented academics. Details about admission standards for each listserv are listed on the sign-up page.

A description of our listservs and specific eligibility criteria can be found hereIn general, any individual who performs services for any client on any matter in which the client’s interests are adverse to the interests of a consumer or consumers, or who represents (or conducts any work on behalf of) certain types of for-profit businesses whose interests are adverse to the interests of a consumer or consumers, is not eligible to join NCLC listservs or attend NCLC conferences.

On the next page you will be asked to choose which listservs you would like to join. Eligibility will be determined by NCLC after review. Please understand that each listserv may have different eligibility requirements and that subscription is not automatic. You should review the eligibility requirements in each list description before requesting to join.

NCLC reserves the right to request or seek additional information from and about applicants, including but not limited to feedback from other members of the consumer law community, and has exclusive authority to determine whether or not to admit an applicant to listservs, conferences, and other forms of engagement in this community.

In addition to our listservs, NCLC sends periodic e-newsletters and Action Alerts on important consumer law and economic justice issues, as well as information on upcoming trainings, webinars, and engagement opportunities. You can sign up for those lists hereBased on the listservs you request to join, NCLC will automatically add you to our e-newsletter list and, except for government employees, to relevant Action Alert lists. You can always tell us more about the kind of information you’d like to receive and modify your subscription settings by clicking on "Manage Subscription" here or in any of our emails.
