MAPSO Youth Field Hockey Team Sign-Up
This league will be ran by the High School Development League. The team will be coached and led by former and current CHS Field Hockey players who are also involved in our winter clinic. This league is not a highly competitive league, the focus of this program is to provide young players a chance to be exposed to the sport and have a more hands-on feel of the flow and rules of the game. Therefore *NO EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED*.
- Cost: One payment of $60
- When: April 20-May 22, games will take place on Mondays and Fridays. Most games will take place around 4-4:30pm, however if there are conflicts with majority of our team, HSDL said changing times for games are very easy as long as both coaches agree.
- Practices: The practices will be 1-2 times a week. Again, since this is not a competitive league, attending practices will not be mandatory but strongly encouraged for extra practice. Practices will be around 3:30-4:30 during the week to give players from both MMS/South Orange enough time to get to the practice location (this is also TBD, but will be in either South Orange or Maplewood).
- Where: Surrounding towns e.g. Millburn, Livingston, and some in neighboring counties. No games will be further than 30 minutes away. Players will need to provide their own transportation -- we will provide a way for parents/guardians to coordinate carpools.
I hope your child is interested, and I truly appreciate your flexibility and support with building our program! This is the first time our town is participating in this league/forming an actual team, so I truly appreciate your understanding with some of the details that are not hashed out yet since such details depend on our township.

The cost to join is a 1 time payment of $60 per player. It is required we submit one check, therefore checks must be written out to me (Stephanie Rivera) and I will send in a money order. Please indicate how you'd like to send in your payment.
