For the release of the Magic The Gathering:
Secrets of Strixhaven set, we will be running a "pre-release" event at Joto Boardgame cafe.
- Date: Sunday 7th of June
- Time: 13:00 till ~19:00 (*)
- Where: Joto's board game cafe (location)
- Price: €38,- per person
- Every player will receive 6 playboosters, with 1 additional "participation" playbooster
- 1v1 best of 3, up to 5 matches
- Rewards (play boosters) for the top 3 players
- Quiz about magic and the set at the end, with a playbooster as reward.
(*) Location opens at 13:00, start time to open packs and build your deck is 13:15.
Format rules:
- With the packs, build a deck of minimum 40 cards within 50-60 minutes.
Lands will be provided (please return them after the event).
Duplicates of the same card are allowed. - After which you will be paired up to play a "best of 3" match against another participant of the event.
- Once all players have finished their matches, new pairs will be set up until we have played up to 5 matches. (~50min per match)
- After that, the ranking of players will be declared, and the top 3 players will receive bonus rewards in the form of playboosters.
- Players are allowed to alter their decks in between matches, as long as they only use cards received from the original 6+1 packs.
You don't need to bring any cards, a set of dice is always useful (especially a d20 to track you life total), and be ready to test your deck building skills.
We have limited space, so the first 20 people signing up will be allowed to enter the event.

If there are spots open, or people end up not showing up, anyone present is allowed to join instead.
Payment will be requested on location before receiving the playboosters.
