Tell us about your skills, aptitudes, aspirations and offers of service! 
Nominations Committee is the group at Westminster Meeting that is responsible for finding Friends to fill roles at the meeting. Examples are: 
Treasurer; clerk and assistant clerk to the meeting; editor of our newsletter, The Parrot; and people to help manage the Library, and the Premises, and do outreach, and be responsible for Children’s Meeting. We also need elders (responsible for the spiritual life of the meeting) and pastoral care team members (who look out for the welfare of Friends). Additionally to some of these named roles, we also need people for all sorts of services such as bringing and arranging flowers for the meeting on Sundays, making the tea before meeting on Sunday, and doorkeepers on both Sundays and Wednesdays.

We would love to know what skills and aptitudes you could offer to the meeting, whether for one of the roles named above, or quite separately. Examples might be designing and/or managing websites, baking, graphic design, textile work and any other skills you might have.

Expressing an interest in a particular role does not mean we would expect you to start doing it without further exploration, and if necessary you would be offered induction or training. Most appointments are for one year or for three years, for example elders are usually appointed for three years.

Roles we need to fill on a regular basis:

Clerk, assistant clerk, treasurer, library, premises, Children’s Meeting, elder, pastoral care team, website management, funerals committee. For some of these roles: clerk (but not assistant clerk), elder, treasurer, pastoral care team – we normally expect a Friend to be in membership.
