The Community Support referral system was established to both better access the existing supports in the Midcoast community and fill the gaps where current resources come up short. The intent of this system is to promote the positive development of school-aged youth in RSU 13, RSU 40, and St. George MSU. By prioritizing a comprehensive approach to supporting youth development requests will fall under one of three buckets:
Intervention: This is an immediate need to help a young person currently in crisis.
Prevention: These are supports or services that help keep a young person out of crisis.
Promotion: Services, experiences, opportunities, etc that support the pursuit of strength and resiliency development.
On behalf of the referrals we receive, our team will provide outreach to local, regional, county and state level services to meet the needs of these youth and work to ensure a positive outcome for youth referred.
