Thank you for your interest in being a Room Parent for your kiddo's classroom!
By volunteering you will be building a connection between teachers and fellow AEA families.
The role of Room Parents:
- Send one monthly email (A base template will be provided by the Room Parent Coordinator) sharing important FoAEA information, and encouraging participation from your class' families.
- Be a liaison with your teacher.
- Organize a classroom specific meetup.
- Facilitate connection with your classroom's families (ex: setup a playdate/carpool spreadsheet to share contact info)
- Collect funds from your classroom families to purchase gifts for your teacher.
- Celebrate your teacher by purchasing a gift for their birthday, winter holiday and end of the year.
- Help with STAW (Staff/Teacher Appreciation Week) in May.
Your time commitment should average out to a few hours a month or less.
YOU MUST BE CLEARED TO VOLUNTEER AT THE SCHOOL TO BE A ROOM PARENT. If you have not yet done so, here is the link:
