FIT for GIRLS SPRING PROGRAM SIGN UP
Shantala Boss, licensed mental health counselor, is offering group sessions for girls at D1 Sports! These sessions will include fitness group training with a group trainer, and CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) processing groups lead by Shantala. Studies have proven that exercise is directly linked to mental wellness. When CBT is combined with physical exercise, positive results occur. Group sessions are an hour and a half and will start Wednesday, January 6th and continue until March 17th from 6 to 7:30 pm for a total of ten weeks. Girls will move between physical wellness activities to social and emotional skill lessons keeping them engaged and motivated. Social skill lessons will include activities and processing in subjects of self esteem, team building, friendship goals, boundaries with peers, expression of emotion, etc. Groups will be broken up based on age of attendees. Groups are for girls 6 to 15. Sign up now before spots are filled! Google sign-in required.
