BAY-Peace Youth Action Team Application
On the Youth Action Team, BAY-Peace develops the leadership of youth through the arts, political education, community organizing, healing and transformation. Youth Organizers are trained to facilitate interactive workshops, organize community events or actions, and use arts based techniques to engage community members in conversations about the ways that racism and violence is impacting Oakland youth. They will learn about racial justice and the violence that is perpetrated by the systems that impact them in order to create change in the criminal justice and education systems locally and across the state. Youth Organizers have the opportunity participate in our annual Santa Cruz retreat, international days of action, National Leadership Conferences, House Parties, Performances or showcases and collaborations with other Oakland Youth Organizers.

Youth Organizers receive monthly stipends or academic credit and will also have additional paid opportunities throughout the year.
