Our Village Archive — Dublin 15 Expression of Interest

Draíocht in association with Artist Oluwatobi Bello

Our Village Archive is a creative project bringing Black and Brown women together to connect, build community, experience, create, share and reflect.

Across eight sessions, you’ll spend time with artist Oluwatobi Bello, exploring art, culture, food, stories, photography and the things we know and want to pass on.

The project is also a chance to slow down, reflect on your own life and experiences, and make space for yourself. Through conversation, photography, audio, film, writing and visual arts, we’ll explore different ways of expressing ourselves and documenting our time together.

The sessions are designed as a space to relax, enjoy yourself, be creative and spend time with other women. Everything you need for the sessions is provided, including activities, food and materials — there is nothing you need to pay for.

You don’t need to be an artist or have any previous experience. You don’t need to have a particular story to tell.

We’re inviting Black and Brown women from different cultural, ethnic and faith
backgrounds who live in Dublin 15 to take part. We’re particularly hoping to hear
from mothers and women aged 40 and over.
