2024 LAR Committee Sign-Up

TO:  ALL MEMBERS

FROM:   Lynne Creasy, 2024 LAR President

The Committee structure of LAR is a very intricate part of the association's success. Recruiting enthusiastic members to serve on our committees is vital, and one of my most important responsibilities as your President-Elect.  Working on a committee can be a source of personal and professional growth.

We depend on the commitment of our members to keep our association strong.  The work of each committee is developed every year by the committee and approved by the Board, in accordance with LAR's Strategic Plan.  Appointments are for one year and begin on January 1st.  Thanks to each of you for your support and participation in continuing the great work of your association.

There will be a limit of 15 members per Committee (not including the Chair) and the following policy; If a member has two (2) consecutive or three (3) cumulative absences in a one-year period, they shall be removed from the Committee.  In addition, I am asking that the members serve on no more than two (2) Committees.  These policies will hopefully ensure more productive and effective Committee work and to enable everyone who wants to serve the opportunity to do so.
