2022 GRD Board of Directors Application
Girls Rock Detroit is looking for new board members who live our mission. As an organization facilitating social change, Girls Rock Detroit is committed to creating leadership that is representative of the diverse community we serve. Detroit residents, people of color, those with disabilities, those who are LGBTQIA+, and immigrants are all strongly encouraged to apply.
Girls Rock Detroit is seeking to add members who can bring some of the following attributes to its Board of Directors:
Social Work or Education Background
Familiarity with GRD Mission and Programming
We currently meet via Zoom from 6-8:00 p.m., on the second Sunday of each month.
BEFORE completing this application, please carefully read the Girls Rock Detroit board member contract, which includes a detailed description of the job responsibilities.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until January 8, 2022. After the application is completed, applicants will be contacted by a Board member with more information, and to schedule a 15-minute Zoom interview. You will be notified of your candidacy before Jan 31, 2022.
