Projects funded by Humanities North Dakota must include the following components:
*Engage participants in thinking about a critical issue or issues
*Include a scholar or expert trained in a humanities discipline
*Be conducted in a spirit of open and informed inquiry, providing multiple viewpoints, where applicable

Book Discussion - A scholar-led online discussion about a book focusing one of today's critical issues.
Writing Workshop - A scholar-led online workshop consisting of writing instruction, free writes, mutual sharing, and homework challenges.
Think & Drink - A scholar-led conversation about a critical issue. Participants will be given much of the time to discuss the issue with one another. Although not at a pub, you may BYOB.
Brave Conversations - A scholar-led brave conversation about a critical issue. Participants will be given much of the time to discuss the issue with one another.
We The People Adult Civic Education - A scholar-led six-week unit of learning using the We the People curriculum
