SLP FOOD Stakeholder Meetings 2019
Join us for the challenging discussions that lead to SOLUTION-based, action-oriented, impactful change. In 2017-1018, SLP SEEDS hosted community-led conversations on Food in SLP, initiated in 2015 through the city's Health in the Park initiative through Blue Cross Blue Shield. Those meetings led to:

~ New Kitchen Facilities in every school with a goal toward scratch cooking re-instilled in district
~ Food Security implanted in the city's 10-year Comprehensive Plan
~ Wilder Research study being conducted on Food Security and Access in SLP (due 12/19)
~ 35+ Attendees to UMN's annual Schoolyard Garden Conference
~ 900+ petition signatures collected and growing to create an SLP Food Action Plan

This current round of meetings are to plan the 2020-2023 initiatives for Better Eating in SLP through education, engagement and action.

Disrupting hunger.
Disrupting poverty.
Disrupting unsustainable inequities for people, planet and community.
Creating wellness and resilience for all, starting at home in SLP.

Attend 1 meeting or ALL meetings! Light refreshments will be served. Feel free to bring a snack for yourself or to share.

Please let us know if you have barriers to attending (transportation, childcare, language, accessibility or otherwise)
