Foster Application

Thank you for your interest in fostering a cat! By opening your home and heart, you’re giving a cat or kitten a safe place to heal, grow, and prepare for their forever family. Fostering truly saves lives. Every foster home means one more cat has a chance at finding the love and security they deserve.

Below are our fostering requirements and application. If you’re ready to make a difference and help us continue saving cats in need, please submit your application below.

Applications will be reviewed within 72 hours. If approved, our foster coordinators will reach out to schedule a phone interview. 

Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older to foster and be the primary caretakers of the cat/kitten.
  • Must live within commutable distance to the Queens area.
  • Fosters are required to cover daily expenses such as litter and food. If this is not possible but you are still interested in fostering, please reach out via email at info.natsavescats@gmail.com. 
  • Kittens must be fostered in pairs. They are extremely playful and need a kitty friend.

All windows with access to the outdoors must be securely fitted with screens.

I understand that, as a foster, I am responsible for covering daily expenses such as food, litter, and other needed daily supplies. If I am unable to provide necessary care or supplies at any point, I will inform the foster coordinator immediately.

I understand that while fostering an animal, I assume full responsibility for the cat’s care and behavior. I agree that the rescue is not liable for any personal injury, property damage, or other loss that may occur while the cat is in my custody, and I release the rescue and its representatives from any claims related to such incidents.

I understand that I will serve as the primary caretaker for the foster cat(s) in my care until either a permanent adoption is finalized or a predetermined fostering timeframe has been reached. If, at any point during the foster period, I am no longer able to provide appropriate care, I will promptly notify the foster coordinator to make alternate arrangements and will provide a minimum 72 hour notice.
