Understanding and controlling the propagation of light through complex scattering materials promises a host of new technologies, advancing fields such as imaging, optical communication, optical computing and more. The overarching aim of this workshop is to bring the communities of scattering media, fibre optics and metamaterials together, to share visions and methods with each other, but particularly with the younger generation of students and early career researchers. We have an exciting international line up of invited speakers at this event, including:
Allard Mosk (Utrecht), Hui Cao (Yale), Philip Russell (Max Planck Erlangen), Changhuei Yang (Caltech), Sylvain Gigan (LKB), Ivo Vellekoop (Twente), Demetri Psaltis (EPFL), Wonshik Choi (Korea University), Laura Waller (Berkeley), Otto Muskens (Southampton).
We are able to offer the majority of the attendees free accommodation, subsistence and conference fees. We are unable to cover the cost of travel to and from Exeter. As we have a limited budget we cannot guarantee to cover the costs of all attendees, but will let applicants know shortly after registration closes.
In addition to the invited speakers, we are also offering participants the opportunity to give talks at the conference. Due to the short duration of the workshop, we have a limited number of participant talk slots available, but we have organised a poster session where everyone will be able to share their work, and have designed the programme to give plenty of time for valuable participant interaction.
If you would like to join us, please register your details below by Friday 8th February 2019. We hope to accommodate everyone, however depending on levels of interest space may be limited, and so we will let you know if we are able to host you shortly after this date.
If you have any questions please email us at: email@example.com.
We look forward to welcoming you to Exeter in April 2019!
