Metro Area PREPaRE Workshops Registration -  June 2022
The Oklahoma State Department of Education is offering free PREPaRE School Crisis Prevention and  Intervention training in June 2022. There is normally a fee associated with this training for materials. However, through a Department of Justice Grant, the OSDE is able to offer the training to schools at no cost through reimbursement to your district following the training.

Workshop 1 - which has 100 spots - will take place Tuesday, June 14. Workshop 2 - which has 40 spots - will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, June 15-16. Both workshops will be held at the Moore Norman Technology Center South Penn Campus, 13301 S. Pennsylvania, Oklahoma City, OK 73170. You do not need to sign up for both workshops. However, first preference for a spot will be given to those who sign up for both. We must have 15 people attend each workshop in order to provide the training. If we don't have 15 people, we will cancel the training. After 40 people sign up, there will be a wait list.

In order to be certified as trained in PREPaRE and be listed on the National Registry, you must attend all of each workshop. Workshop 1 is one day. Workshop 2 is two days. This is a National Association of School Psychologists rule.

Details:

Your district will pay up front for the training materials ($45 per person for Workshop 1 and $55 for Workshop 2 for a total of $100 per person) then submit for full reimbursement to the OSDE just as your district would do in all other reimbursement situations. You will be reimbursed fully by the OSDE following the training and your district submitting for reimbursement.

Attendees will be required to take a Pre-test the week before the training. We will provide codes for attendees to use to take the pre-test. This will need to be done before the first session.

Attendees will need to have a computer or tablet with them to access the materials. You are strongly encouraged to print the materials ahead of time.

Attendees should plan to bring their lunch or get a quick bite to eat and return to the training. The lunch break will be about 45 minutes.
