The nomination of the most startup-friendly company aims to recognize the exceptional achievements that especially bigger companies have done to improve innovation and competitiveness through startup collaboration. We believe that the award will stimulate companies to collaborate and invest in startup functions even more.

Eligibility to apply:

- You are EITHER a large global/international corporation, OR a relatively large sized but more locally focused company in Finland. Both types of companies will compete in their own category, with other companies closer to their own size.

- Your company is operating in industrial or manufacturing field or otherwise has close ties to manufacturing, logistics or startup ecosystems. The startup cooperation between the corporation and the startups could be e.g. R&D collaboration, product development, innovation cooperation, piloting innovative methods and projects, providing new kinds of services, or perhaps something else that is new and unique.

- You have strong or strongly developing startup functions in your company in Finland, or with Finnish startups, and a mindset of changing the world.

Selection criteria:

- Strong startup attitude and action.

- In the 2022 Competition, we are looking for evidence of recent (approx. 1 year) significant improvements in startup cooperation, and near future (approx. 1 year) ambitious plans for your company’s startup cooperation. We emphasize quality and innovativeness: the sheer number of deals will not be the deciding factor.

-Also, your contribution to the Corporate-Startup Cooperation Toolbox will count.

-More detailed information and criteria will be given to the participant companies after signing up.

Competition timeline:

- Phase 1 (August-October 2022): First fill this form to enter the award nomination. Then receive our competition submission form from us, and fill that form with the story of your awesome startup-related activity. In addition to the submission form, the participants will have an opportunity for Co-creation work on the Corporate-Startup Cooperation Toolbox.

- Phase 2 (October 2022 & later): The competition is open for sending the competition submission form. Competition finalists are then chosen and will pitch to the jury in the beginning of December.

- Phase 3 (December): The winners and runners-up are announced.
