Get Ready for OTES 2.0 Implementation - Save the date!
The Ohio Teacher Evaluation System (OTES) will change beginning with the 2020-2021 school year with a revised evaluation rubric and process.
Those who are working on a NEW CREDENTIAL OR NEED TO RENEW to evaluate teachers should attend the THREE-DAY OTES 2.0 CREDENTIALING training.
To become a credentialed evaluator of teachers in the State of Ohio, an individual must be properly licensed or LEA approved as a peer evaluator, participate in the three-day state-sponsored evaluator training and pass an online credentialing assessment. Upon successful completion of the training (attendance for all three days is REQUIRED), participants will have access to the online assessment.
This three-day training is designed to prepare evaluators of teachers for the credentialing assessment. Participants will gain an understanding of the OTES 2.0 Framework, practice scripting and evidence analysis, and learn the coaching process used in educator evaluation.
Attendees will receive 18 ODE Contact Hours, which can be used toward Ashland credit.
Lunch will not be provided.
