FPA Landscape Planning Tool Project Survey for Landowners
The FPA is in the first stages of developing a property-scale planning tool to assist landowners in making the best economic and environmental decisions when planning forest practices on their land. The intention of the tool is to allow landowners to make informed decisions when undertaking landscape or property wide planning to ensure that their land is meeting both their financial goals and environmental obligations under the Forest Practices Act 1985. The tool is intended to save time and money for landowners without compromising environmental outcomes.
The aim of the survey is to get an understanding of what the needs are of those who will be using this tool and developing the tool to suit those needs.
All who complete the survey go into the draw to win a $50 Bunnings voucher (please provide your details in the survey to go into the draw).
The results of this survey will not be shared with any parties external of the FPA and respondents can choose to remain anonymous. If you do consent to being contacted further regarding your responses please tick the check box below.
- Property-scale planning: describes “whole of property” planning; considers multiple values (e.g., environment, economics) across a broad area, and often over a long timeframe.
- Online planning tool: a web-based tool which can be accessed through the FPA's website that will allow input from landowners and forest planners, is location specific and gives a visual, spatial output to inform forest planning decision making.
- Forest planning: undertaking the preparation of forest practices plans with the intent of undertaking forest practices (e.g. harvesting and regenerating native forest, harvesting and/or establishing plantations, clearing forests for other purposes, including agriculture)
