Thank you for expressing interest in coaching for the Union Grove Youth Baseball and Softball Association. UGYBA and UGYGF encourages the involvement of experienced OR new coaches willing to learn who generously devote time to our players and organization. Volunteer coaches who exemplify a strong character and express a pleasant demeanor, play a vital role in the physical and emotional development of young athletes. Coaches serve as role models for players to gather encouragement from and to help develop skills on and off the baseball field. Volunteer coaches are greatly appreciated and are an integral part of our program and their efforts greatly enhance the success of our athletes and our program.
UGYBA and UGYGF is designed and administered so that every child, regardless of skills or abilities, has an opportunity to have a positive youth baseball experience. Our coaches play a critical role in contributing to and supporting this philosophy. As a volunteer coach you are directly responsible for instilling values & good sportsmanship along with enhancing player development and baseball knowledge.
Coaches will be required to abide by and facilitate all rules set forth by Racine County Youth Baseball Association (RCYB), Racine County Girls Fastpitch Association (RCGFA), and Kenosha Kiwanis Youth Baseball while portraying a positive and energetic attitude. Any negative coaching can result in dismissal from our program. Additionally, coaches will be subject to a background check/criminal history report to be conducted by UGYBA/UGYGF, as well as complete this volunteer application prior to coaching. UGYBA/UGYGF reserves the right to reject a coaching application based on the results of the background check/criminal history report and not all offenses result in rejection of the applicant.
