2nd Annual Hand's On Woodturning Retreat 2020 At Hand's On Sawmill, LLC in Kingsville, TX
We are pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Hands on Woodturning Retreat at Hand's On Sawmill LLC (formerly: Nave's Sawmill), March 5-8, 2020 in Kingsville, Texas. This retreat is Sponsored by Hand's On Sawmill LLC, Costal Bend Woodturners Club, AAW and endorsed by Ron Campbell's Hand's on Retreat.

Fill out the application to reserve your place at the retreat. Participation fee will be $150.
Participants who bring a midi lathe to share will pay a discounted fee of $100.
Non-participating spouses may register at a discounted fee of $75 to cover the meals that are provided.
Children ages 16 and younger are $100.

Registration fee includes:
- Thursday afternoon sharpening classes.
- Thursday Evening Opening Ceremony and South Texas BBQ.
- This year will also include an Engagement Party with live Country music and dance floor (So, bring your dancing boots).
- Hands on Classes all day on Friday and Saturday, and again on Sunday till noon.
- Coffee, Tea, Water will be available throughout the event .
- Sandwich Lunch will be included Friday & Saturday (If you have special dietary needs, please take care them yourself).

Feel free to arrive early if you would like more time hanging out with the instructors and vendors. Instructors and vendors will begin to arrive on Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday will be official "Set Up". This would be a great time for you to learn more about processing bowl blanks and to just hang out and learn and network with other turners. WARNING: This is a Hands On Sawmill - you will be put to work!

Participants are asked to bring:
- Face-shield / safety glasses
- Appropriate tools for your classes
- 4 jaw chuck and key to fit a midi lathe
- Live center and spur drive.
Please have all tools clearly identifiable with your name or mark.

NOTE: If you are unable to bring these items, no worries. There will be a tool library where you may check out needed items. If you have extras you are willing to share, you may check them into the library.

NOTE: There will be no refunds of registration fees.

What would you rank as your skill level? Levels 1-3 could be described as still needing coaching on chucking and basic tool use. Levels 4 & up need no coaching on turning a tenon/foot and reverse chucking a blank. Have lots left to learn on handling tools and sharpening. Levels 8 & up have above average tool control, good eye for form, decent sharpening skills and should be teaching classes. *
