NSL/Points of Light Conference Application: Due 12/12/2025

Please fill out this application if you would like the chance to attend the National Service Learning Conference of behalf of Menlo-Atherton and the Service Learning Center. It's a wonderful experience and great exposure to a world of changemakers.

We encourage newcomers to the conference, and will give plenty of support and resources for an excellent presentation. The SLC will host a lighting talk (20 minute presentation to a small group) & a showcase. For more details about these, please look on the website.

Conference Details: June 22-25, 2026 in Washington, D.C.

Attendees must bring a parent chaperone (or go with a friend and their parent), cover the cost of their flights, room, and part of their registration for the conference. More financial aid is possible, but not guaranteed (depends on # of participants). More details in survey.

Ideally, we will be able to select 3-4 representatives to attend. Combined with president Audrey Majzun & advisor Andrew Stuart, we will be able to save 10% on registration.

Registration cost:

$450 (our budget is around 2,000 divided among # of registrations & presentation costs but we hope to fundraise more money)

Flight cost:

$350 - $600 (depending on how early you buy & willingness to avoid luxury and comfort)

Estimated hotel cost (w/ registration benefit):

Hilton group reservation rate for the event is $323/night plus 15.95% transient accommodations tax rate.

Located across the street, The Churchill Hotel at 1914 Connecticut Avenue NW group reservation rate is $269/night plus 15.95% transient
