Slamdance DIG Entry Form
DIG (Digital, Interactive and Gaming) is a community-driven showcase of interactive art that challenges us to rethink what we know about storytelling. DIG provides a platform to both emerging artists and established creators whose work goes beyond traditional art. Can you dig it?

Artists are encouraged to submit either works in progress or completed projects for consideration. From these submissions, a team of curators will program a showcase opening in Downtown Los Angeles from October 23-26, 2019.

Please completely fill out the following form, including an active link to your submission materials.

Entry is free and open to all.

Submissions & Rules
Submissions for DIG will be open until August 31, 2019. For your submission to be considered, please provide the following:

1. A brief description of the submitted project. Please include your proposal for installation of the project including space requirements and technology required;

2. A preview link to a stable / nearly finished version your work, along with the submission requirements listed for the category you are submitting to.

The format of this link is up to you. A simple landing page with a preview link, accompanied by screenshots or exhibition views will suffice, as will a Dropbox link containing this information.

We do look at works in progress, but must differentiate between aesthetically "broken" projects, and just plain broken projects. Please do your own assessment on this. We like rickety and abstruse projects, but not lazy or inscrutable ones.

Only submissions in electronic format will be accepted. Please do not send "plastic" works to our office as they will not be returned. If your work is in any way sculptural, please include exhibition views or pre-visualizations with your submission link.

If the project is selected for exhibition, the artist is responsible for delivering, installing, and deinstalling their work and all related costs.

DIG will happen in Downtown Los Angeles from October 23-26, 2019.

Please prepare your submission materials in advance of submitting this form; projects without a stable link to preview materials will not be considered.

Because of the open nature of our programming it is impossible to standardize submission materials. In general, all file types are accepted. However, please provide specific written instructions for preview if the work requires an exotic workaround or other shenanigans to open / preview / play.
