DECISION MAKING OF LOCAL AUTHORITIES IN EUROPE: COMPARATIVE PERSPECTIVES
The balance between unity and autonomy is one of the major challenges facing the European territory, whatever the type of State considered.
Indeed, in Europe, several models of territorial organization exist and are undergoing a transformation in order to adapt to the current economic dynamics to the progress of the European construction but also to the general tendency of the reaffirmation of the cleavage between center and periphery.
It is in this context of global transformation of governance that local authorities are likely to have an increasingly important role in the renewal of local management, especially in order to answer to the imperatives of efficiency and effectiveness for the management authorities, whether public or private and national or local administrations.
The purpose of this international conference is to propose an analysis in comparative Law of the transformations of territorial organization in European States, through the intervention of Hungarian, German, French and Italian specialists on local authorities Law.
