EmpowerEd is a teacher advocacy organization whose primary mission is to elevate diverse teacher voices and improve teacher retention. At our spring Teacher Solutions Summit on Saturday, March 16th from 10:30am to 2pm, we invite educators throughout DC to present on problems in DC education and their proposed solutions!  

You can present either a poster presentation (think tri-fold board) where the public can come and walk around, see your presentation and chat with you about the idea OR apply to host one of the 3-4 live sessions (about 45 minutes) where you present and have an interactive conversation with attendees.

WHAT ISSUE / SOLUTION WILL YOU PRESENT ON?  Be Creative!  In past years we've had presentations on everything from reforming teacher prep programs to desk-less classrooms. Here are some ideas, but don't feel confined by this list!
