Thank you for your interest in the Community Catalyst Educator Fellowship! We are excited to bring together the next cohort of innovators and change-makers!
Throughout our 5-month professional learning journey, we immerse our fellows in a community of support and inspiration.
This experience includes:
a 15 hour Community-Engaged Learning (CEL) Deep Dive: During this two week intensive, we build our community, develop a shared vision of CEL, and take initial planning steps for local CEL projects. These sessions are VIRTUAL. We will:
Design and implement listening campaigns to root our instructional design in student and community curiosities
Learn strategies to expand and diversify community partnerships and build student social capital
Develop tools and practices for effectively communicating and co-creating with community partners
Apply a framework of authentic contribution to our assessments/performance tasks, enhancing the depth and quality of student learning
a facilitated online cohort specific community for ongoing inspiration, feedback, and support as you implement CEL experiences in your local context. You may also opt into monthly group check ins to share progress and problem solve with peers.
up to 2 hours of 1:1 support from CEL coach (scheduled at your convenience)
the opportunity to share and celebrate your work at our Presentations of Learning Session (June 2025)
To take full advantage of the Community Catalyst Educator Fellowship, all applicants should be prepared to:
- Attend CEL Deep Dive: Virtual sessions: January 25: Saturday - full day, January 30: Thursday - evening, February 1: Saturday - half day, February 6: Thursday - evening
- Have the flexibility in your courses/curriculum/program to create a new and/or enrich an existing unit/project/learning experience through community engagement within the five months of the fellowship
- Actively engage in our virtual community: We learn the most from each other. Therefore, active contribution to our virtual conversations as you implement CEL in your local context is essential to this experience for the whole cohort. This may take 15 min - 1 hr/week.
