The 'Sesame Effect': How Sesame Street Innovates Research and Learning Around the World
Celebrating International Education Week at Vanderbilt, Karol Sadkowski (Learning and Neurodevelopment Lab) will spotlight how Sesame Street has been culturally adapted around the world to support children's learning.

12:00 - 2:00 Thursday, November 20 (light lunch provided)
This event will include two independent, optional parts. Attendance for each part will be limited to 30 participants:
  • Pt. 1 (12:00 - 1:00): Presentation of the research-backed design of Sesame Street and its global influence, including its national co-adaptations and far-reaching impact on children's learning outcomes.
  • Pt. 2 (1:00 - 2:00): Participatory workshop on supporting international, interdisciplinary, and multigenerational researchers and learners through the Sesame Street Archive (SSA), a research platform in development by the Learning and Neurodevelopment Lab.
