WMF Membership Application
The Washington Maritime Federation is a registered 501 (c)(4) non-profit organization, comprised of maritime, economic development and business organizations that have come together to support the maritime industry. By bringing together these representatives and supporters of the many diverse segments of the maritime industry, and the greater business community at large, the Washington Maritime Federation will build consensus, provide a unified voice for the industry and join together to drive change in matters of common interest.
Coordination - Establish Washington Maritime Federation as the resource, and conduit for information about, and coordinated support of the maritime industry
Awareness - Create awareness among the public, key stakeholders and constituencies of the importance of the Washington state maritime industry
Advocacy - Communicate messages of the policy/investment priorities of the Federation
Membership Process
Washington Maritime Federation (WMF) Members and Associate Members agree to participate in good faith to promote the vitality and connectivity of Washington’s maritime industry.
Members participate in WMF policy and advocacy decision-making through a consensus based process. Members are required to participate in person or via teleconference or email in order to be part of the decision-making process.
Associate Members inform and advise on communications, marketing, policy, funding and advocacy issues in good faith and agree to participate on committees and subcommittees. Associate Members do not take part in the decision-making process. This membership type is designed for public agencies and other non-political organizations.
Members and Associate Members are asked to participate in monthly meetings, Committee and Planning Meetings and participate in WMF activities and events that promote the vitality of Washington’s maritime industry.
