We’re excited to offer this K–8 opportunity for families who want meaningful connection and hands-on learning without the weekly commitment. This option replaces other extracurricular programs like Venture School or subscription boxes and includes nine fun and elaborate field trips, each carefully planned for a memorable day of learning and adventure (about once per month).
Now entering its second year, this program continues to provide engaging, community-centered experiences for families who want enriching opportunities without the pressure of a weekly schedule. Students will explore with the same cohort throughout the year, building friendships and community as they discover new places together. We’ll also send engaging activities before each field trip to build excitement and deepen the experience.
✔️ Siblings who aren’t yet five by September 1st may participate for free alongside an enrolled sibling.
✔️ Love this option, but don’t want to give up your subscription boxes or Venture School? Inquire about using your Venture Reward to opt into both.
✔️ Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Participation is limited to select groups of up to 30 students, based on region and available group leaders.
✔️ Program enrollment includes one student and one parent. Additional family members may be able to join when space allows but will require an additional fee.
✔️ Families will receive a full semester schedule of field trips before the school year begins to help with planning.
✔️ Most field trips will take place within approximately one to one-and-a-half hours of your group’s area, and some travel may be required.
✔️ Field trip days may include multiple stops, so families should be prepared for a fun and flexible day. Brown bag lunches will often be encouraged.
NOT IN THE TWIN CITIES 1-1.5 HOUR RADIUS?
Families outside the Twin Cities radius are welcome to express interest. There is a question to indicate interest in the survey below. Placement may be available depending on enrollment numbers, travel logistics, and available group leaders/support in your area. Submission of interest does not guarantee placement, but we would love to explore possibilities if there is enough demand.
