Adopt A Counselor - Summer 2026
We started our Adopt a Counselor program a few years ago with the hopes of supporting our Residential Counselors with some love, encouragement and a bonus after working hard all summer long. The pay for our counselors isn't nearly what they deserve so these little acts of love provide uplifting joy and blessings throughout the summer. 

As our team continues to evolve we have hoped to include all of our team in receiving both the notes, care packages and the bonus at the end of the summer too! 

This summer we anticipate hiring 30 summer teammates to server our campers! These range from 16+ year olds serving our Day Campers to our 18+ year olds serving our Residential and overnight campers to support and program staff. 

Please read below, as we have made some changes to 2026 to help our staff all be served, loved on and cared for. 

Adoption Responsibilities: 
1. Pray daily for your adoptee. Pray for their strength, the ability to share God with others and their relationships to be changed. 
2. Prepare Care Packages/Notes of Encouragement. We hope they would receive a small care package 1-2 times (many do more often) throughout the summer. Things like little treats, a card, socks, journals, pens, sunglasses, sunscreen, gift cards are some ideas that have been given and so well received! 
3. Make a donation towards their end of summer bonuses. We want to be able to bless them with a little bonus at the end of summer for their hard work. It's a way to help cover some next school year bill or blessing. 
4. (Optional) If you are able to come to camp to meet your counselor, or coordinate getting them to come to your church or even doing a video call with them, this would be so special. Many times our counselors don't have their own transportation, so helping us with this would be amazing, or we could coordinate a few to carpool together.

We are anticipating about 30 Summer Staff for our team this year. We have a range of options for adopting: 

1. Overnight Counselors (These are our 18+ year old teammates) Some may work with Day Campers during the day and work with the overnight kids in the evenings, and some work just with our overnight campers. 
They are here June 1 - August 7. 

2. Day Camp Junior Counselors - these counselors are 16+ and work during the day with our Day Campers. They work in 4 week sessions  - June 15-July 10 or July 13-August 7 . They do not sleep at camp, just work during the days! 

3. Program Team - these are a variety of positions from Worship Leading, Health Coordinating, Waterfront Leading and Activities Facilitating. They live on camp, work with campers in both programs and support the entire team. 

We are asking for  sponsors for each of our staff members this summer. If you select a Day Camp Junior Counselor, you will be paired with staff member for both sessions, so your person will change mid-summer! 

Please note- the monetary donations we are asking for will be pooled together and divided among the staff members for an end of summer bonus!  We ask for donations to be about $300 per counselors, but understand if you cannot do that.  This is just a suggested amount so that we can get them a little bonus!

We will be in touch with you shortly to get you more information. Official pairings will be given out either at the end of May or first few days of June once we have filled all staff positions, met staff to get them to give us information for you, etc. 

Please note, if your group wants to sponsor more than one, please fill this for out for each counselor you want to sponsor-so that we can easily keep record. With 30 staff, it keeps it easy to track.
