WHY ARE WE RALLYING?
We as students are facing a housing crisis just like other Calgarians. Rent has skyrocketed and finding a place to live has become far more difficult. More and more of us are choosing between food, tuition, and shelter.
Meanwhile, some Calgary city councillors have dragged their feet and are trying to vote down a package of expert-created housing affordability recommendations on September 14th.
But we can change that!
DEMANDS
We demand that city councillors vote to approve the full Housing and Affordability Taskforce recommendation package to make sure we quickly build more affordable housing for students and all Calgarians!
TAKE ACTION
If we mobilize to City Hall on September 14th, councillors will feel the pressure and vote yes to housing affordability for students!
