Volunteer ESL instructor(Afghan Women In-Home ESL Program)

The Nebraska Afghan Community Center (NACC) is asking our neighbors in the local community to dedicate their precious time to teach English as second language to Afghan mother in their homes.

Volunteer ESL Instructor will commit some hours of teaching English to Afghan Mothers at their homes, The hours for teaching can be assigned based on the availability of both instructor and host family. NACC is committed to teach English to those Afghan mothers who are not able to attend in person ESL classes in the community due to various obstacles such as childcare, transportation and complex work schedules of their family members. Both host family and volunteer instructor will report to NACC. NACC will provide curriculum if needed, Volunteer ESL Instructors are welcome to develop a curriculum too. NACC will also provide cross cultural trainings to Volunteer ESL Instructors.

The Nebraska Afghan Community Center is located on 1121 N 48th St. Apt 17, Omaha, NE 68132.
