Community Science Training - Native Seed Sites
Join  Brenda Clifton of Skagit River System's Cooperative (SRSC) and  the Trust's Stewardship Coordinator, Kayla Seaforth for an in-person training.  SRSC  is collecting seeds throughout the watershed, both on Skagit Land Trust properties and other conservation lands, to grow in their nursery for salmon habitat restoration projects. They need your help to identify potential seed collection sites! Brenda, SRSC's Senior Restoration Botanist will discuss adapting planting practices to climate change, identifying quality collection sites, recording geographic locations on a smart phone, and collecting and storing mature seeds.

RSVP required. Meet at the Hillcrest Park gazebo in Mount Vernon.

If you have a smartphone, please bring it with you and download the iNaturalist app.  For any questions contact Kayla at kaylas@skagitlandtrust.org. Hope to see you there!
