Registration: Gender Affirming Surgery + Assessment Training (Intermediate to Advanced)
*****Please read this section in full before completing the registration form!*****
Please read below if you are interested in registering for the Nov 2020 training for a more advanced discussion related to conducting gender affirming surgery assessments/writing letters for Transgender and Gender Nonbinary (TGNB) adults, as well as more information about the specific surgical procedures and considerations as a cisgender mental health professional. Please see the flyer here:
for the cancellation policy, and please see the programs for additional information about the topics that will be covered during each part ****
Early registration & payment is highly encouraged, as this training has limited capacity. Participants are strongly encouraged to attend both days. To attend either, you must have a solid understanding of the Trans 101 basics, as this is an intermediate to advanced discussion. To attend Part 2 only, you must have had some general training on the surgery assessment process and letter writing, and ideally have written at least one surgery letter.
No "homework" or pre-reading will be required. Multiple clinician and client resources will be provided, including sample letters. There will be an opportunity to observe a role-play interaction of an assessment, but participants are not required to participate other than if they have questions/reflections throughout the training.
For more information about my credentials, please see my CV here:
- You are also welcome to request a list of names of other clinicians who can 'vouch' for my competence and skill. Please be aware that as a queer cis(ish) clinician, my ability to provide this training is based on extensive training and experience, self-reflection, consultation, reading, and through training others. However, it cannot substitute for the experience of receiving training/consultation from someone with lived experience. I highly encourage clinicians to consider supporting trans and nonbinary identified individuals when they provide their expertise through trainings such as this.
Please see my financial accessibility form at
if this training feels financial inaccessible, or for more explanation as to the decisions I made related to costs, including the 15% donation for the Black Trans Advocacy Fund -
This program is co-sponsored by the New Hampshire Psychological Association (NHPA) and Megan Tucker, Psy.D. NHPA maintains responsibility for this program and its contents. FYI: APA CEs are often accepted by other licensure boards in addition to psychologists, but this varies by state. Check with your state board to see whether they accept APA CEs.
