Across New England, growing numbers of concerned citizens are engaged in courageous actions to protect the Earth's climate and natural systems from the consequences of unrestrained carbon emissions.  Together we are confronting the fossil fuel industry and the elected leaders who are failing to address the present crisis.

Outcomes of this training will include:
- Deepening our connections to one another
- Understanding the movement shoulders we stand on
- Information/experiential practice about CD and supporting others to do CD.
- Legal and practical information about CD
- Forming action/affinity groups with CD and support people
- Creating strategies and messaging which embody our issues
- Background on the local efforts to stop the fossil fuel industry and how to be in solidarity.

Committed to nonviolence as the antidote to our culture of separation and understanding the power of Civil Disobedience awareness for taking action, Cathy Hoffman has been a Nonviolence Civil Disobedience/Direct Action (NVDA) trainer for many decades most recently with Extinction Rebellion, Immigrant Justice, UU Mass Action and the Resist the Pipeline effort in West Roxbury. She is blessed to have been at Standing Rock and living in the moment of this sacred and transforming witness.
