Subject:    Substitute Teacher List Update For The 2024-2025 School Session

This year the update for our substitute teacher list for 2024-2025 for Franklin County Public Schools will be done electronically.  To do this, go to the Franklin County Public Schools Website at www.frco.k12.va.us.  Click on the Division Tab of the main page.  You will find a link called “Substitute Teacher Update”  Click on that link and you will find the information you need to submit updated information to the HR Department.

You will need to complete the form, sign, date and return electronically no later than June 30, 2024 in order to be approved by the School Board at its meeting on July 8, 2024.  You must submit your form electronically to be on the approved list and before you can substitute for the 2024-2025 school year.

The pay for substitute teachers will be $130.00 per day with a four year degree and $110.00 per day without a degree.  Long-term substitute pay will be $150.00 per day for teachers with a four year degree and $125.00 per day for teachers without a degree.  Long-term pay applies only to substitutes employed for classroom teachers for 20 days or more in succession in the same position and for the same teacher.
