** Please note: Most of my instructional workshops are based near Saratoga Springs, NY as that is where i reside and have the most familiarity with the best foraging locations. Travel is possible depending on your budget constraints.
Rates and Logistics
- Group Size: My rate covers 1 to 10 people (total fee, not per person).
- Instruction: $100 per hour with a two-hour minimum. A "full day" (four hours) is $300 if held in my area.
- A full day will also include a shared meal based on what we have gathered.
- Travel: $50 per hour of driving.
What You’ll Learn
The sessions are highly interactive, and I tailor the instruction to your specific interests. Typically, we cover:
- Spring: Shoots, greens, roots, tubers, and some mushrooms.
- Summer: Greens, fruit, mushrooms, and flowers.
- Fall: Roots, tubers, fruit, seeds, and mushrooms.
You will learn basic herb, tree, and mushroom identification, how to spot toxic look-a-likes, and how to prepare, process, and cook what we find. My goal is for you to walk away with the knowledge and confidence to start foraging on your own.
