Courses are 8am to 5pm daily unless otherwise noted. Each day begins with coffee in the classroom with a lesson or two before headed into the field.
Day 1 is heaviest on theory with afternoon field time for beacon use and companion rescue.Day 2 is structured around digging pits and assessing snowpack.Day 3 is 90% field time. Using your new knowledge creating and executing a tour in and around avalanche terrain.
*All participants must be able to travel up to 2 miles with 1,000 feet of vertical gain at altitude.*The Paragon Guides office will send a confirmation email with payment instructions. Your course instructors will be in touch as the start date approaches with additional information and logistics.
