Shop Downtown Spotlight @ the Market Square Farmers Market
Downtown retailers located WITHIN THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT have the opportunity to participate in the Market Square Farmers Market through the PDP's Shop Downtown Spotlight Program as a single day vendor. Participants will be selected by PDP staff based on the completion of this application and must pay a $30 fee upon confirmation.

Please review the requirements for participation listed below:

1. Shop Downtown Spotlight at the Market Square Farmers Market is limited strictly to Downtown (CBD) retailers of NON-FOOD GOODS AND SERVICES. Retailers with multiple locations may only promote their Downtown location.

2. Market Hours are 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Vendors must be fully set up and ready at 10 a.m. when the market opens. Vendors are expected to have enough product for the entirety of the market

3. Retailers are required to provide at least two (2) of the following marketing materials for their business:
- Branded tablecloth to cover the provided table
- Small banner with grommets that can be hung on a 10 x 10 tent
- A tabletop sign with business information and logo

4. Depending on weather, the Market Square Farmer's Market hosts about 5,000 visitors each day. In addition to any permitted product sales/sampling, retailers are required to provide some type of engagement activity to encourage visitors to come to their store. An example of possible activities include:
- Raffle/ game /giveaways
- Interactive demos for products sold at their store
- Craft or product demonstration to highlight your business.

For the Spotlight fee of $30, PDP will provide all accepted participants with a 10 x 10 tent with weights, a 6’ table, and 2 chairs. Any other equipment is the participant's own responsibility. Electric access is not guaranteed and must be requested in advance using the form below. Please bring your own extension cords.

Applications can be submitted on a rolling basis while spots are still available. All dates are on a first-requested basis.

Insurance and Additional Info
Liability Insurance:
Accepted businesses are required to carry Liability and Product Liability insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 general liability coverage and must name the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership and the City of Pittsburgh as “additionally insured.” PDP does not provide insurance to cover the products sold by a vendor or the activities of participant, his or her employees, or agents at the Market Square Farmers Market.

Additional Information:
Applications will be reviewed by PDP staff after the due date. Businesses are not guaranteed acceptance based solely on submitting an application or prior participation in PDP event. Market Square Farmers Market is an outdoor event and will be held rain or shine, Spotlight participants are expected to attend their scheduled date regardless of weather. Rain make-good dates may be provided based on availability; no refunds will be provided.
