The purpose of the commission on ministry in Ohio is to edify candidates for ministry through guidance in schooling, experience, and engagement - that each may be well-equipped and prepared to fulfill the calling that is within them.
The process of preparation is relational and lengthy. Candidates for ordination can expect to initiate the relationship with the commission when they begin their master of divinity and conclude it after they graduate (3 years). Candidates for commissioning can expect to begin the process, establish their core criteria, and then continue the process towards the 16 competencies until completed. This process unfolds over years, and this is to better serve each candidate and Christ's Church.
We gladly welcome you into the process with the commission on ministry. We are eager to learn of the calling within you and how the Christian Church in Ohio can accompany and serve you to serve Christ's Church. Welcome.
If and as you have any questions, please feel free to connect with the chair, Rev. Chris McCreight through email (Chair@COM.CCinOH.org)
