You must fill out, e-sign and submit this application to be considered for the NB Farmers' Markets. The market team will review your application and get back to you within 14 days.

Combination of 2-3 markets (attend 1 market/week, but rotate between markets monthly)
Once confirmed, vendors are expected to attend the market weekly or give the Market Manager a 24 hour notice of cancellation. Do you accept these terms?

If you are selling food items (excluding fruits, vegetables, eggs, maple syrup, and honey) the Health Department requires you to apply for a Farmers Market Food Permit, which is good for 1 year. A $90 fee is due at the time of the application - the application must be submitted to: New Bedford Department of Public Health at 1213 Purchase St. New Bedford MA 02740.

Please call the New Bedford Health Department - (508) 991-6199 if you need more assistance on submitting the Farmer Market Food Permit application.
All fees shall be paid by CHECK or ONLINE (Note: there is a $5 convenience fee for online payments; if you are paying per market, it is a $1 convenience fee per payment). GENERAL LIABILITY INSURANCE
All vendors participating in our markets must carry General Liability Insurance in the amount of $1M.

Ability to accept SNAP/EBT, HIP, Debit & Credit.
The New Bedford Farmers Market accepts SNAP and Debit/Credit Cards. The Market Manager operates the token system and assists vendors with disbursement and reimbursements.
Vendors are paid on a bi-weekly basis and transaction costs are covered by the Market.
All vendors of the New Bedford Farmers Markets are required to participate in the SNAP and Debit/Credit Token System.
