Mechanical Engineering : Systems in Action // Grades 7-8

With this workshop, students will discover Mechanical Engineering through this interactive and hands-on activity for grade 8 students. Learn all about interacting mechanical systems and get to see them in action while making Rube Goldberg machines! Students will learn about the engineering design process while designing and building their machines!

Note:  This is a recorded workshop provided by McMaster University's Venture Academy, and facilitated by parent and DL teacher, Sarah Stolz.   Depending on the group size, there may be limited opportunities for group discussion, but Sarah will facilitate stopping and starting the pre-recorded workshop to ensure your student, or small home learning group can work together to complete the tasks as we go along.    Chat feature will also help you ask questions or ask to pause the workshop as needed.

(The activities will be aimed at the grade 8 level listed but any age is welcome to check it out.)
