ABOUT APAWLA and YLLS:
The Asian Pacific American Women Lawyers Alliance (APAWLA) is an organization that promotes inclusion, empowerment and advancement of Asian Pacific American women in the legal profession. We are devoted to advocating, educating, mentoring, networking, and developing leadership within the profession and larger community. A section of APAWLA is the Young Lawyer/Law Student (YLLS) Committee which specifically focuses on recent law school graduates and law students. See http://www.apawla.org/ylls.
We invite you to join a community of fellow API women both in law school and in the legal field. We have set aside time for one-on-one conversations between law students and young lawyers. We also plan to decide on the types of events that the group would like to have this year. In the past, we have had dim sum mentorship socials, clerkship luncheons, panels and breakout sessions on job search, interview techniques and more.
