MEPs and CoR members , pledge to support people in European rural areas!

Rural citizens across European rural areas* are asking you, as a Member of the European Parliament and CoR member, to amplify rural voices and bring them higher on the political agenda. We invite you to take action for European rural communities and regions during your 2024 – 2029 mandate! How can you do this? By signing the pledge below.


THE PLEDGE:

I, as a Member of European Parliament or appointed CoR member , pledge to support rural citizens and development of rural areas in the mandate 2024-2029. I commit to implement actions towards the objectives of the Rural Pact:

             1.    Amplifying rural voices and bringing them higher on the political agenda;
             2.    Structuring and enabling networking, collaboration and mutual learning;
             3.    Encouraging and monitoring voluntary commitments to act for the vision

that was announced by Commission to encourage cooperation for reaching the goals of Communication entitled “A Long-term Vision for the EU’s Rural Areas":
