We will have a buffet breakfast together at 8:30 as well as a brief membership meeting.
Following that, our two scholarship winners will present performances of their winning audition pieces.
Our guest speaker for the morning will be Dr. Colleen Sears from The College of New Jersey sharing a beautifully moving presentation entitled "Anything Essential is Invisible to the Eyes; A Meditation on Love, Loss and a Deeper-Hearted Case for Music Education". Dr. Sears will lead a break-out session with us following her presentation.
As part of our day, the Rowan University Concert Choir led by Dr. Christopher Thomas will perform excepts from the new oratorio "Open Minds" by composer Rob Redei with poet Deborah Kennedy that gives voice to people facing mental health challenges and those who love and care about them.
The day will wrap up at about 12:30 pm
If you’d like to attend, register here and then forward a personal check payable to SJCDA in the amount of $25 to the address below by April 1 to hold your place and help us plan for the number in attendance for the day. At the meeting, you will receive your check back.
We hope that you can join us!
